Park Pavilion
New York, NY
A pavilion constructed from salvaged lumber is proposed in a park and reflects on the continuing dialogue between architecture and landscape.
A clustering of three wooden modules fabricated off site are assembled in the park to form a pavilion with a set of covered outdoor spaces. The project draws on the value of displaced natural resources to imagine a container for viewing people, performances, and nature. Through framed views of one’s surroundings, Portal is conceived as a medium for discovery.
