A gallery renovation in Chelsea is undertaken in time for the opening of an artist-curated show.
Working with the gallery owner and team of staff, each of the main galleries and display windows are developed to enhance flexible arrangements for programming and display. Through a sensitive approach to lighting that responds to the geometry, sequence, and existing lighting conditions of each exhibition space, custom fixtures and detailing are designed to minimize light source glare while maximizing operability. A collaborative process reflects the coming together of art, technology, and space design.
